by Bryan Pfaffenberger

Computer Graphics Editor's Recommended Book"The Elements of Hypertext Style is a guide to creating the best and most appropriate Web pages for your intended audience. It's not a primer on HTML (Hypertext Markup Language). . . or a technical guide to optimizing graphics for the Web. Rather, it covers the essential graphics and text elements of Web pages and gives advice on how you can use these elements to improve your own Web pages. Author Bryan Pfaffenberger writes about how to add visual clues, interactive and navigational elements, links, transparent .GIFs, animations, and tables to your site."

This is the book that has taken me from a complete web home page template user to being able to create my own unique web site.  This book is well worth every penny.  It includes all the basic HTML codes you need on the inside and back covers.   This is a quick reference for when you're in the middle of working and you need to locate what you need quickly.  Also, Mr. Graham gives excellent advice on page content, organization, and appearance.  Highest recommendation.
